Thriller enlists new director.
Last April it was announced that Joel Schumacher was set to direct the suspense thriller ‘The Hive.’ Now, according to Variety, ‘The Machinist’ helmer Brad Anderson has come on to replace Schumacher as director.
Penned by Rich D’Ovidio (‘Exit Wounds,’ ‘Thir13een Ghosts’), the project focuses on an emergency line operator who must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl from a serial killer.
Halle Berry was initially attached to star, but has since dropped out due to personal scheduling issues, though several top actresses have expressed interest in the part. Production is scheduled for late spring.
