Nick Cassavetes (‘The Notebook,’ ‘Alpha Dog’) is teaming up with ‘The Shallows’ star Blake Lively for ‘Bruised,’ a mixed martial arts drama scripted by Michelle Rosenfarb.
Per Deadline, the drama focuses on a disgraced MMA fighter, now a single mother working two jobs, who must get back in the cage when the authorities threaten to take her young son away.
Cassavetes is aiming to have cameras rolling in September. Thunder Road Pictures’ Basil Iwanyk is producing alongside Linda Gottlieb and Guymon Casady of Management 360. Production.
