Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan involved in lawsuit…
Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan is reportedly in a lawsuit filed by a New York film production company.
Overnight L.L.C., headed by Rick Schwartz, has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its former president Aaron Kaufman. Schwartz claims that Kaufman caused the company to lose millions of dollars in profit and a producing credit on Black Swan by misrepresenting his skills in the area of movie financing.
Schwartz states that Kaufman pretended “to be knowledgeable about the financing of motion pictures when he was not”. Kaufman asserts that the claims are unfounded.
Black Swan follows production of Swan Lake wherein one ballerina (Natalie Portman) is required to play the roles of both the Black Swan and the White Swan. The ballerina slowly begins to go mad as the production progresses.
