The guys are back for another slice of American Pie.
Back in February 2010 it was revealed that Universal was looking to resurrect the American Pie franchise with either a sequel or reboot. It has now been confirmed that Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy are set to reprise their roles for ‘American Reunion.’
Universal is in negotiations with original cast members Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, and Jennifer Coolidge to reprise their roles from the franchise. So far no plot has been revealed but guessing from the movie’s tite, we reckon it’s safe to assume that the gang is back for a High School Reunion.
Noticeably absent are Alyson Hannigan, Eddie Kay Thomas, Shannon Elizabeth and Natasha Lyonne, but there is plenty of time before production starts for them to be linked to the movie.
The studio has been continuing the series in recent years with direct-to-DVD spin-offs like ‘Band Camp,’ ‘Naked Mile’ and ‘Beta House.’
