Affleck circling assassin thriller…
Ben Affleck, who is currently in production on ‘Batman v Superman,’ has reportedly entered into talks for the Warner Bros. action thriller ‘The Accountant.’
Featuring a Black List script by Bill Dubuque (‘The Judge’), ‘The Accountant’ centres on Chris Wolff, a brilliant, autistic bookkeeper who doubles as an assassin and “problem-solves” with precision in more ways than one.
The action thriller has been in development hell for the last couple of years, and was at one point set up as a directing vehicle for Mel Gibson. According to Variety, the studio has set its eye on Gavin O’Connor (‘Jane Got A Gun,’ ‘Warrior’) to direct.
Mark Williams and Lynette Howell are producing, with Drew Crevello and Jon Gonda overseeing development.
Affleck will next be seen starring in David Fincher’s hotly anticipated thriller ‘Gone Girl,’ when it opens across the country October 3rd 2014
