Ben Affleck Drops Out of FOCUS

The multi-talented star exits grifter flick.

It appears that a scheduling conflict has forced Ben Affleck to drop out of ‘Focus,’ Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s grifter film which was has Kristen Stewart on board to co-star.

Sources close to the actor tell Variety, that while he very much wanted to do the film, the multi-talented Affleck couldn’t find the time to take the gig due to his commitments to his next directorial effort, ‘Live by Night,’ his prep-work for the Stephen King adaptation ‘The Stand,’ and the awards season promotions for ‘Argo.’

Penned by Ficarra and Requa, ‘Focus’ deals with a “veteran grifter who takes a young, attractive woman under his wing, but things get complicated when they become romantically involved.”

The filmmakers will now look for a replacement for Affleck in order to meet the Spring start.
