‘City of Embers’ to premiere in Belfast’s Movie House
Belfast will stage the European premiere of the star-studded Hollywood film ‘City of Embers’ at the Movie House on October 9th.
The film, a children’s adventure about a race against time to save an underground city from flooding, is directed by Gil Kenan and stars young Irish Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, Bill Murray, Martin Landau and Tim Robbins.
The multi-million pound movie, based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Jeanne Duprau, was shot mainly in Belfast last year, in the old Paint Hall building in the Titanic Quarter.
Several members of the cast are expected to attend the screening.
