Seventeen-year-old English actress Sophie Turner, best known for playing Sansa Stark on ‘Game of Thrones,’ has landed a role opposite Hailee Steinfeld, Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson in the action comedy ‘Barely Lethal.’
With Kyle Newman behind the camera directing from a script by John D’Arco, the plot follows a 16-year-old international assassin (Steinfeld) yearning for a “normal” adolescence who fakes her own death and enrols as a senior in a suburban high school. She quickly learns that being popular can be more painful than getting water-boarded.
Deadline has Turner playing “an undercover agent who enrols in high school to help capture the teen.”
