‘Captain America: The Winter Solider’ star Anthony Mackie, Scoot McNairy (‘Frank,’ ‘Argo’) and Billy Bob Thornton (‘Fargo,’ ‘Bad Santa’) have become the latest additions to the cast of David Gordon Green’s political dramedy ‘Our Brand Is Crisis,’ joining previously cast Sandra Bullock.
Featuring a script by Peter Straughan (‘The Men Who Stare at Goats’), the film is a narrative adaptation of Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary which, focused “on the use of American political campaign strategies in Bolivia by President Clinton’s former consultants James Carville and Stan Greenberg.”
Smokehouse Pictures partners George Clooney and Grant Heslov are on board to produce. Filming is expected to kick off in the autumn.
