Long-gesting heist thriller begins to move forward.

Screen Daily reports that Anna Paquin (‘True Blood’), Tom Hiddleston (‘The Avengers’) and Elijah Wood (‘The Hobbit’) have signed on to star in the long-gestating adaptation of the Elliott Chaze’s novel ‘Black Wings Has My Angel,’ with Alfonso Pineda Ulloa (‘Love, Pain and Vice Versa’) attached to direct.

The film, which has been in development since 2007, follows anti-hero and ex-con Tim Sunblade, who teams up with a high class call girl for a daring armoured car heist.

Ulloa penned the screenplay with screenwriters Barry Gifford (‘Wild At Heart’) and Christopher Peditto (‘Light and the Sufferer’). Production is set for September with Christopher Peditto, Anthony Moody and Wood producing.
