Fickman directing romantic comedy.
Andy Fickman (‘Parental Guidance,’ ‘Race to Witch Mountain,’ ‘The Game Plane’) has signed on to take the helm of ‘The Exes,’ a romantic comedy based on Jane Moore’s 2004 novel ‘The Ex Files.’
The story follows the “ex-girlfriend of a groom, who reluctantly agrees to attend his destination wedding for closure and for friendship. Once there, she finds herself trapped at an island resort with all of the couple’s exes. Old flames are rekindled, new romances are born and complete chaos ensues.”
“It’s a fun and fresh unique perspective within the romantic comedy world,” said Fickman in a statement. “Every time I mention the story to someone they immediately respond with how it relates to their own life, which makes this such a universal experience. Anyone who has loved before has lost before.”
Veteran producer Leonard Goldberg (‘Blue Bloods,’ ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ ‘Hart to Hart,’ ‘Fantasy Island’) is producing with Mark Ross and Alex Ginno overseeing for CBS Films.
