Long rumoured biopic of the legendary musician to film in Ireland.
IFTN has word that André 3000, aka Andre Benjamin, is set to play Jimi Hendrix in ‘All Is By My Side,’ the long awaited biopic of the legendary ax man.
With principal photography expected to kick off in three weeks in Dublin and Wicklow, the film will focus on Hendrix’s early career and his time spent in England over 1966 and 1967 when he worked on his debut album, ‘Are You Experienced.’
Currently in pre-production, the film will be written and directed by scribe John Ridley, whose previous credits include the screenplays for ‘Red Tails,’ ‘Three Kings’ and ‘U-Turn.’
