Alice Krige Joins THOR: THE DARK WORLD

Superhero sequel enlists Borg Queen.

Talking at the Star Trek: Las Vegas convention last weekend South African actress Alice Krige (‘Silent Hill,’ ‘Star Trek: First Contact’) revealed that she landed a role in Marvel’s upcoming sequel ‘Thor: The Dark World.’

According to the actress the role is small and she “may not be recognizable in the film,” which has resulted in speculation that the Krige will be playing the Queen Alflyse of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, wife of Christopher Eccleston’s super villain Malekith the Accursed.

‘Thor: The Dark World’ sees Chris Hemsworth return as the hammer wielding God of Thunder with Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Tadanobu Asano, Stellan Skarsgard and Ray Stevenson also set to reprise their roles. Alan Taylor (‘Game of Thrones’) is directing.
