ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO Adds Jessica Biel

Four more in talks to join.

Deadline reveals that Jessica Biel (‘Total Recall,’ ‘The A-Team’) is set to join Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson and James D’Arcy on the cast of the Sacha Gervasi-directed ‘Alfred Hitchcock And The Making Of Psycho.’

The film, penned by John McLaughlin and based on Stephen Rebello’s book of the same name, tracks Hitchcock’s struggles during the filming of the 1960 horror classic.

Biel will play the role of Vera Miles, who played Lila Crane in ‘Psycho.’ Anthony Hopkins plays Hitchcock, Scarlett Johansson will play Janet Leigh, Helen Mirren will play Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville and James D’Arcy is set for the role of Anthony Perkins.

Variety adds more, reporting that Toni Collette (‘Fright Night’), Danny Huston (‘Wrath of the Titans’), Michael Stuhlbarg (‘A Serious Man’) and Michael Wincott (‘The Crow’) are in talks to board the project.

Collette would play Peggy Robertson, Hitchcock’s long time assistant; Huston would play Whitfield Cook, Alma’s friend; Stuhlbarg would play Lew Wasserman, Hitchcock’s charismatic agent and Hollywood-savvy friend; and Wincott would play Ed Gein, the serial killer upon whom the ‘Psycho’ book and movie are based.
