Swedish actress Alicia Vikander (‘Anna Karenina,’ ‘A Royal Affair’) has entered into talks to join Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson in Alex Garland’s indie robot thriller ‘Ex Machina.’

The sci-fi tale follows a billionaire programmer (Isaac) who handpicks a young employee (Gleeson) to spend a week at his remote estate and participate in a test involving his latest invention – an artificially intelligent female robot.

According to TheWrap, Vikander would be playing the female robot.

‘Ex Machina’ will be produced by Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich of DNA Films, with Scott Rudin and Eli Bush serving as executive producing.
