‘Interstellar’ and ‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’ star Casey Affleck has revealed to the Boston Globe (via The Playlist) that he is replacing Matt Damon in the forthcoming drama ‘Manchester-By-The Sea.’
Affleck will play a man who returns to his hometown after his brother dies. There, he finds himself thrust into the care of his 16-year old nephew but finds himself crumbling due to a secret tragedy in his past.
Kenneth Lonergan (‘Margret,’ ‘You Can Count On Me’) is behind the camera, directing from his own screenplay. No word on when production will get underway.
