Tim Burton’s Addams Family remake moves forward…
The long rumoured remake of The Addams Family has been confirmed.
According to producer Christopher Meledandri, the 3D stop-motion film is moving forward with director Tim Burton on board:
“It’s all very, very early, but we are developing with [Tim] in mind,” he said.
Speaking at a press junket for Despicable Me, the producer added:
“We’re just now at the story phase. Stuff has been written as though we are doing it in black and white, but that’s not correct. It’s not incorrect, but it’s not correct. We haven’t gotten to that point.”
Meledandri also confirmed that the movie will be based on Charles Addams’s original comics that appeared in The New Yorker.
