Hopefully he’ll fit a few Pow, Bang, Wallops into the new Batman movie
For many Adam West is the ultimate Batman actor, we were raised watching his camp portrayal of Bruce Wayne on Saturday morning television. So we were quite excited when Floss Magazine and Movie Web announced today that the actor, who now works on Family Guy will be making a guest appearance in Chris Nolan’s next Dark Knight installment.
While there is no word yet on who West will play, in a 2008 interview he expressed interest in playing Thomas Wayne. “I like Christian Bale. I’ve heard he’s a big fan of mine, but I certainly reciprocate, I think he’s really very good. I’d love to play his father. The older Batman comes out of the woodwork, when times get really tough… maybe a few tips here and there.”
As well as playing Batman on screen, West voiced Thomas Wayne in the animated series ‘Batman: The Brave and the bold’, while Catwoman actress Julie Newmar voiced his wife Martha Wayne.
