Adam Sandler to Replace Mark Wahlberg on THREE MISSISSIPPI

Scheduling conflict pushes Wahlberg out.

Vulture has word that Adam Sandler has entered talks to join Will Ferrell for the comedy ‘Three Mississippi.’ Sandler would be replacing Mark Wahlberg who pulled out due to scheduling conflicts with Peter Berg’s ‘Lone Survivor.’

‘Three Mississippi’ is the tale of two neighbouring families as they do battle in an annual Thanksgiving game of front-lawn tackle football. Alec Baldwin is also attached to star, and will play Sandler’s father, the patriarch of the family that more often than not loses the heated games.

Originally titled ‘Turkey Bowl,’ the screenplay was penned by Robert Carlock (‘30 Rock,’ ‘Friends’) and Scott Silveri (‘Friends’). Sean Anders (‘That’s My Boy,’ ‘Sex Drive’) is directing.
