Breslin attached to indie comedy.
Variety reports that Abigail Breslin (‘Zombieland,’ ‘Little Miss Sunshine’) has taken the lead in Beth Schacter’s indie coming-of-age comedy ‘A Virgin Mary.’
Penned by Schacter (‘Normal Adolescent Behavior’) and described as a coming-of-age story in the tradition of ‘Sixteen Candles,’ Breslin will star as a teen who vows to have sex with her best male friend if they’re still virgins by the time they turn 18.
Carter Jenkins, Keke Palmer and Daryl Sabara will co-star, with Jenkins taking the role of the best friend. ‘A Virgin Mary’ will begin shooting when Breslin wraps up on Stan Brooks’ adult-themed true crime drama ‘The Class Project.’
