Aaron Sorkin-Directed MOLLY’S GAME To Star Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain (‘Miss Sloane,’ ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’), Idris Elba (‘Star Trek Beyond,’ ‘Beasts of No Nation’) and Michael Cera (‘Sausage Party,’ ‘Lego Batman Movie’) have all joined the cast of award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming directorial debut, ‘Molly’s Game.’

Based on Hollywood “Poker Princess” Molly Bloom’s memoir, the film sees Chastain playing a skier who, after her Olympic dreams are dashed, heads to Los Angeles and becomes a cocktail waitress. Through a bizarre set of circumstances as well as untapped entrepreneurial skills, she ends up making millions by running the most exclusive high-stakes poker games involving politicians, financial titans and A-list Hollywood stars.

THR has Cera playing a character named Player X, an elite celebrity player who develops a unique relationship with the “Poker Princess.”

Sorkin is also penning the script, with Mark Gordon, Amy Pascal and Leopoldo Gout producing. A November start date is planned.
