Gabriele Muccino directing…

‘Breaking Bad’ star Aaron Paul has closed a deal to star alongside Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried in the Black List drama ‘Fathers and Daughters.’

Featuring a screenplay by Brad Desch (‘Shotgun Lovesongs’), the film is a love story between a father and daughter living in New York City 25 years apart. Crowe will portray a famous novelist and widower struggling with mental illness as he tries to raise his 5-year-old daughter. Crowe’s ‘Les Misérables’ co-star Seyfried will play the now-grown daughter in present-day Manhattan as she battles the aftermath of her troubled childhood.

Italian filmmaker Gabriele Muccino (‘The Pursuit of Happyness,’ ‘Seven Pounds’) is behind the camera for the film, with Voltage Pictures’ Nicolas Chartier and Craig J. Flores co-producing with Sherryl Clark of Busted Shark.
