Never got to play the first but no. 2 was epic, the videogame equivalent of Cloverfield spliced with Aliens! Blade Runner on the big screen plus pizza, brews & video games; sounds like a good night.

    Thanks for the tickets, movies!

Thanks for the tickets guys! Legends yiz are!Laughing

Thanks for the tickets Movies.ie but that was absolute bullshit of the highest calibre. I was 5 minutes late but when I arrived there was absolutely no free seats left. If that wasn't bad enough, only the first two rows and PR people got pizza, nobody else got a look in. Plus most importantly there was no demos or even a mention of Crysis 3 at all. Was it even a game launch? Overall it was a terrible event, the funny thing was that they even took photos of all the beautiful couples that where their and ignored the people that would actually buy the game. Embarrassing stuff for the shallow bastards at O'Leary PR.

Couldn't agree more Cujo! My friend and I got there for around 6:25pm and there was none of the proper seating available, so we got stuck sitting up the front on terrible single chairs!

The speakers were terrible for the movie and I could barely understand it but the worst part was that there was no mention of Crysis 3 at all, just some random posters placed around. I only stayed for the movie as I assumed there was going to be something about Crysis 3 afterwards, but nothing.

Not really sure how they managed to even called it a preview event for something they didn't mention once. Overall it was a waste of a night.

Bit of a let down to say the least after travelling in from outside dublin and swapping shifts in work. I was lucky enough to get one of the seats and some pizza but no one came out to say what was happening or even hey we are gonna play the movie now or anything the lights just went dark and played it. As a sound engineer myself I can say the audio was far too loud and not eq'd and hurt my ears at times.
I waited around for a bit after the movie but people just left and others cleaned up before leaving myself. No mention of the game except two small posters and signing up for a competition to win the game. I was genuinely looking forward to seeing it and it's new physics engine in play.
I dont blame yourselves as I have been to a fair few of your showings which were great and the scott pilgrim one was just fantastic but this was a major disappointment. Look forward to some of your future ones.

    Hi,
Just reading some of the feedback from the EA event last night,

This was not a Movies.ie run event - we just gave away the tickets, it was run by EA Games and the PR company themselves, there was no one from Movies.ie involved in the event itself.

We got the following statement from the PR company behind the event that we'll pass on to you. --->

Due to a technical fault at yesterdays Crysis 3 Preview event, EA were unable to showcase the preview as originally billed.

Guests enjoyed complimentary drinks and pizza with a screening of Blade Runner and EA would like to offer those disappointed on the night a chance to preview the game before it launches on February 22nd.

All those interested please contact sarahcorr@olearypr.ie

    Thanks for your understanding.

I don't know why people are going mad at all, Got 2 free alcoholic drinks which I didn't expect, I arrived late but the girl put a pizza on for me and my friend anyway. As for seats I just asked some people could I jump in beside them on the sofas in the middle and they'd no problem.

Didn't get to see the game preview but got to see the flick which is the main reason I wanted to attend, came on to say thanks Movies.ie for the tics, really enjoyed the night!!

I have to say I feel the same. It was all a bit 'Father Ted'.

The only sign of the game was two posters and one guy wearing a tshirt. I understand that things go wrong but we could have been informed of that. Instead, we were left sitting there waiting for something that wasn't coming.

After the movie, I saw the PR staff sneak out, leaving us with no choice but to ask the security guard if there was anything else to come before we left.

Although I enjoyed the night and would like to thank movies.ie, I feel EA have been very poorly represented by the PR company that I'm sure they paid good money to.
