10 things you need to know about BAD NEIGHBOURS 2

‘Bad Neighbours 2’ is released in Irish cinemas this week, and continues the story of Mac (Seth Rogen) and his wife Kelly (Rose Byrne). After seeing off the fraternity of Delta Psi Beta, who moved in next door to them and caused chaos, their quiet life is shattered when the sorority Kappa Nu move in. Mac and Kelly must turn to their former enemy and head of the fraternity Teddy (Zac Efron) for help when they realise that girls just want to have fun… Loud fun.

To celebrate the release of ‘Bad Neighbours 2’ in Irish cinemas, Movies.ie have gathered together 10 facts about the movie that you really should know.

1. Original
‘Bad Neighbours’ was released in Ireland in 2014, and took over $270 million worldwide, as well as being the fourth largest comedy ever to be rated R in the US, so it is no surprise that the bad neighbours are back for more.

2. New Neighbours
This time out, the rowdy sisters of Kappa Nu are led by Shelby, played by Chloe Grace Moretz. As well as Moretz, newcomers to the cast include Selena Gomez and comedian and YouTube sensation Billy Eichner.

3. Twitter
Speaking of Chloe Grace Moretz, the actress announced her involvement in ‘Bad Neighbours 2’ directly to her fans and followers on Twitter.

4. First Time
‘Bad Neighbours 2’ is Seth Rogen’s first live-action sequel. Rogen has previously reprised voice roles in the ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and ‘Monsters Vs Aliens’ franchises.

5. Reunited
Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen are no strangers to working together. They first appeared together in ‘Bad Neighbours’ and this sequel to the 2014 movie, and will appear again together in ‘The Something’, due for release in 2017.

6. Returning
‘Bad Neighbours’ director Nicholas Stoller has returned to direct this sequel, with writers Andrew J Cohen and Brendan O’Brien being helped out by Stoller, Seth Rogen and his long time collaborator Evan Goldberg.

7. Back Again
As well as those behind the camera, actors Lisa Kudrow, Ike Barinholtz and Dave Franco are also returning to ‘Bad Neighbours 2’ to reprise their roles from the original.

8. What’s in a Name?
As with the first film, which was titled ‘Bad Neighbours’ in Australia, the UK and Ireland to avoid confusion with the long-running Aussie comedy, this sequel is titled ‘Neighbours 2’ in the US, but ‘Bad Neighbours 2’ at this side of the world.

9. Cut
‘Girls’ creator Lena Dunham had a role in ‘Bad Neighbours 2’, as a character named “Joan of Arc”, but sadly the character was cut from the film during editing.

10. When can I see ‘Bad Neighbours 2’?
