BIG EYES

For the first time since 1994’s ED WOOD, director Tim Burton takes on a film based on a true story; painter Margaret Keane. Burton is a longtime fan of the artist, and once commissioned her to paint his then-girlfriend Lisa Marie.
Keane (Amy Adams) had phenomenal success with her paintings, which featured characters with oversized, doe eyes. In the 1960s, however, Keane’s husband Walter (Christoph waltz) claimed credit for her work, which threw their marriage into jeopardy.

BLACK SEA

Kevin Macdonald’s latest thriller focuses on a legendary submarine, rumoured to be loaded with gold, sunk in the Black Sea.
Jude Law stars as Captain Robinson, an unemployed submarine captain who is hired to find the sunken treasure. The trouble is, Robinson’s employers may not have been totally honest about their motivations.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB

Star of one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time, SCROOGED, Bill Murray takes on a role in this month’s ST. VINCENT, which, although it is released in December, is not technically a holiday film.
Vincent (Murray) is a misanthropic, bawdy, hedonistic war veteran who is completely content to remain in his own world. When a newly divorced woman (McCarthy) and her son move in next door, Vincent finds an unlikely friend in the young boy.

The Penguins must work with the North Wind led by Classified to prevent Dr. Octavius Brine from taking over the world.
